Tobacco Statistics  in Finland

The publication contains information on tobacco production, sales and comsumption of tobacco products in Finland. It also gives information on smoking and exposure to tobacco smoke.

The average annual consumption of taxable tobacco products per person aged 15 or over has fallen compared with the years 2005-2007 and 2009.  In 2010 Finns consumed  4,7 billion taxable cigarettes,123 million cigars and pipe and loose tobacco 657 thousand kilograms. The consumption of untaxed cigarettes increased by  9 per cent from the previous year. Finns brought 387 million tax free cigarettes from abroad in 2010.
